Compelled to Hide?

How strange that we should ordinarily feel compelled to hide our wounds
when we are all wounded! Community requires the ability to expose our
wounds and weaknesses to our fellow creatures. It also requires the ability
to be affected by the wounds of others... But even more important is the love
that arises among us when we share, both ways, our woundedness.

Do you think thank showing your wounds is a sign of weakness? I think in this day in age people feel as though they have to be strong through everything but then there comes a point when people do break down (show their wounds*) but who is their for them only a few... I wonder if we continue to hide our "scars" and "open wounds" we will forget how to treat them.

i do not feel if a individual shows their wounds it is a sign of weakness. i feel when people share their wounds with other it will give them a progress to heal. the next person may be going through something worst off and my wound that i share may help them get through so i fell people need to share instead of hidding and worrying about what others think.
